Two Ways To Add Instant Curb Appeal To Your Home

There are tons of things that you can do to add some curb appeal to your home. Today we are going to be talking about two ways in which we can do this for a fairly cheap price and in a fairly short amount of time. Before we begin our discussion we need to first define what curb appeal is and why it is important to your home.

The definition of curb appeal can pretty much be summed up as the first impression that a potential buyer gets from the street of the exterior and the interior through the windows of your house. This is important for two reasons. The first obviously is that you are trying to sell your home; we all know how important first impressions are don’t we. The second is that it will give you a much higher home value when it comes time to sell it.

Now onto the first thing that can add some instant curb appeal outdoor lighting. Outdoor lighting will make your house instantly pop out in ways that many others will not. This is the case because it can be seen at night while others cannot. Installing sconces near your door and along the path to your door set a great night time mood that is hard to recreate any way else. Outdoor sconce lighting is also a great way to help detour burglars and robbers from breaking into your home. Wrought iron outdoor chandeliers are also great if you have a gazebo that can be seen from the road. They provide just enough light to see inside of the gazebo but do not light up the whole backyard and break the mood like spot lights do.

The next thing that you can do to add instant curb appeal is to install shrubs and trees in your yard. Adding these things says to the potential home buyer that you care about your yard and home and have put time and effort into making it look its best. This also says that you have probably kept up with the repairs of the house because most people who take of their yards also take care of their houses as well. If you are not able to cut your grass every week, have your landscaper or you yourself cut the grass as low as possible so that the weeds and grass don’t grow to tall.
